THE VERSE

I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for. When you call on me, when you come and pray to me, I’ll listen. When you come looking for me, you’ll find me. -Jeremiah 29-11-13 (MSG)

THE STORY

There is something beautiful about knowing that while others may leave us, He never will. He has it all planned out. This was a truth that I didn't believe was for me. It wasn't until recently that the Lord had me meditate on this verse, and as I meditated on it, I began to open myself up in a way I had never done so before. I wept, and grieved while allowing this truth to saturate me from the inside out. While I may have been abandoned by my earthly father, my heavenly father never left me. He is with me, and is for me. I hope this verse encourages you as much as it does for me!

God has fully restored my relationship with my earthly father. You can read more of that here: http://www.clickforhope.net/blog/2016/8/5-forgiving-my-dad
